BRIEF HISTORY OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BOSTON
ORIGIN OF NAME
Boston was once sitting on the splendor of Spanish culture. According to the old folks of the town, the Spaniards were the pioneering immigrants of the place. It was evidenced by a church with post made of selected big hard woods and walling made of brick stones built by the natives of the place now occupied by a newly designed church by parishioners.
According to the old folks, Boston got its name from an American Missionary who came to the town and asked the name of the place from an old man holding a cane. The old man thinking of the cane he was holding replied “BASTON” a native dialect. From then on, the place was called “BOSTON”.
